Felicity and Alex tied the knot on a beautiful spring day at the historic Stone Mill Inn in Hallam, PA. Their day was packed full of fun details like matching embroidered Vans sneakers, a dress change, and some fun photos with their other love... their cars.
The Stone Mill Inn Wedding : A Historic and Elegant Venue in York, PA
The Stone Mill Inn offers a variety of ceremony spaces including The Abbey which is where Felicity and Alex chose to exchange their vows. You can also choose to have your ceremony in the woodlands, by the fountain, inside the historic mill, or in the tent. There are plenty of options if the weather is less than ideal as well. You also don't have to share the venue on your big day since the Stone Mill will only host one event per day!
Rich wine and burgundy wedding details:
Felicity chose a long sleeve lace gown with a deep v-back. Her florals showcased orchids, deep wine roses, and even a few succulents. Her shoes were some of my favorites and had a pearl ankle strap. They had some Vans customized with their names for a fun touch too!
Getting ready at The Stone Mill Inn Wedding Venue:
The Stone Mill Inn has a large getting ready space available for all of those fun getting ready moments. There are lots of large windows for beautiful natural light as well as mirrors and a spacious bathroom. Felicity and her special people shared so many giggles as they helped her into her dress and veil.
A First Look in the Woodlands:
Alex waited patiently in the Woodlands at the Stone Mill Inn for Felicity to come see him for their first look. He cried when he saw her for the first time and they enjoyed a few minutes of private conversation as they soothed their nerves for the upcoming ceremony event. We captured some of their portraits soon after. The Stone Mill Inn has so many gorgeous areas for bridal portraits and we took advantage of our time together.
A Burgundy Wedding Party:
Felicity and Alex chose a deep burgundy for their main wedding color and accented it with a navy blue. The groom and groomsmen all wore navy blue with accents of deep burgundy while the bridesmaids wore all different dresses in an ombre of rose pink to deep burgundy. The deep rich tones worked well together.
The Stone Mill Inn Wedding Ceremony at The Abbey:
The Abbey at The Stone Mill Inn was the perfect setting for their wedding ceremony. The surrounding trees were full of varying shades of greens, and their wedding colors popped on the neutral background setting. One of the coolest and most unique parts of their ceremony was when they poured paint over a custom canvas instead of doing a unity candle.
A Reception to remember at The Stone Mill Inn:
After we snapped a few more portraits of Felicity and Alex officially married, Felicity changed into a more casual dress and we captured some photos with their cars. These two are car people and wanted to incorporate that into their day. Then it was officially time to party! The inside of the mill was set up with tables, cute succulent wedding favors at each place setting, and the florals from the ceremony were repurposed in front of the sweetheart table. Guests enjoyed a yummy dinner, a fabulous dessert spread, and a dance party like no other.
